Crocheting although seems difficult and very complicated but it’s pretty easy to get along with and once you understand the baby steps, you’ll only need practice to polish your ability.
When it comes to crocheting, you just need to get you grip tight on two things.
- How to hold the crochet and handle your yarn.
- What the basic stitches are.
Once you get a little used to on how to hold the crochet properly and how to handle the yarn you’re using, all you need to do is to learn about the stitches.
Talking about the stiches, there are 4 basic stiches which are as follows:
- Simple Chain
- Slip Stich
- Single Crochet
- Double Crochet
Whenever you start your work, you need to make a Chain first. The Chain can also be called as the foundation of your work as all other patterns are crocheted over the base.
Slip Stitch is also sometimes called as a Simple Knot. It is a very important and useful stitch especially when it comes to mount your work to give it a shape of something like a sweater or a hat or so.
Single Crochet and Double Crochet are the actual basic stitches; more or less you’ll end up using them in almost every pattern following the different tricks to make different designs.
These are the basic things to learn about if you are to start crocheting, it’s very easy and very interesting once you understand it, trust me on this. Before learning anything you want to learn, you must believe that it is easy and you can do it. Just hope for the best, May God be with you!
